There are SO many awesome reasons to spend time outside. Here are two incredibly important ones:
VITAMIN D. According to Harvard’s article on the health benefits of the great outdoors, vitamin D helps fight a plethora (a whole bunch!) of conditions, from cancer to osteoporosis to depression to heart problems, obesity, inflammation and hormonal issues. And one of the best ways to get vitamin D is to grab your favourite sunglasses and get outside.
DECREASE DEPRESSION. Natural light has long been known to elevate people’s moods (another point in the Harvard article mentioned above), which is why on the days that you most feel like curling up in a dark room watching your favorite movie, the absolute best thing for you is to get out in the sun. Extra bummed out-fighting points if you add exercise to the mix.
