AHS Sexual and Reproductive Health Clinics in Calgary can help.

Youth under the age of 18 can seek and consent to medical care independently if they understand the nature and consequences of the treatment/procedure. The youth is then considered to be a mature minor.

CONFIDENTIAL Sexual and Reproductive Health Services are available for:
– Affordable birth control supplies (Please note: birth control supplies can only be picked up during clinic hours).

– Birth control information.
– Emergency Contraception (EC).
– Sexually transmitted infections (STI) testing and treatment.
– Pregnancy tests.
– Pregnancy options support (parenting, adoption, abortion).
– Post abortion 2 week check-ups.
– Pap tests.
– HIV tests.
– HPV Vaccinations.

DROP-IN Sexual and Reproductive Health Services are available for:

– Males and females age 24 years and younger.
– Women regardless of age who need special services (e.g., emergency contraception, pregnancy options support, post abortion check-ups).
– Anyone facing access barriers: People age 24 years and older who are having trouble finding sexual and reproductive health services in their community (e.g., no Alberta Health Care).

APPOINTMENTS for Sexual and Reproductive Health Services are available for:
– IUD counseling and insertions.
– Pregnancy options support (drop in or by appointment).
HPV (Gardasil) vaccinations  now available (Sheldon M. Chumir Clinic, South Clinic, only).

Alberta healthcare insurance or personal identification is NOT required to visit a Sexual and Reproductive Health Clinic.
